Police Academy Alumni Association is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), organization open to individuals who have graduated from the<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a title=\"The Citizens\u2019 Academy\" href=\"https:\/\/sccpaaa.org\/?page_id=231\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> Suffolk County Civilian Police Academy<\/span><\/a><\/span>.&nbsp; Our purpose is to act as citizen advocates for the<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> Suffolk County Police Department <\/span><\/span>and to continue to bring the Police Department and the community closer together.&nbsp; We maintain the lines of communication and trust that were established at the Civilians&#8217; Police Academy.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong><em>What We D<\/em>o<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Regular membership meetings are held six times a year at the Police Academy located at Suffolk County Community College Grant Campus in Brentwood.&nbsp; Central to each meeting is an educational presentation similar to those presented at the Civilian Academy.&nbsp; Periodically, community organizations are asked to speak at meetings.&nbsp; In addition, field trips to various police facilities are scheduled during the day.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As part of our focus on maintaining the ties that were established at the Civilians&#8217; Academy, we participate in Police Week activities, the Cops Who Care holiday food giveaway, and we support the Suffolk County Youth Academy.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><em>How to Join<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To become a member of the SCCPAAA, you must have graduated from the Suffolk County Civilian Police Academy.&nbsp;
