Here are the major January 2022 monthly statistics for the 1st Precinct which held its meeting on February 3, 2022:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
287 arrests;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4 residential and 3 commercial burglaries;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
24 stolen cars;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7 robberies;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
26 drug overdoses, 6 fatal;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2 shootings, 1 person injured; and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
10 DWIs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A December 23, 2021 murder in Deer Park involved an 85 year old female stabbed to death in a family incident. An arrest was made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assaults and shootings were up 14% in 2021 as compared to 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suffolk County Police Chief of Department Robert Waring and a representative of the MTA Police were in attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next meeting at the West Babylon Public Library is March 3, 2022 at 7 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
