Here are the major March 2022 monthly statistics for the 1st Precinct which held its meeting on April 7, 2022:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
368 arrests;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5 residential and 6 commercial burglaries;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8 robberies;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
33 drug overdoses, 6 fatal;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4 shootings;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
16 DWIs;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
78 drug arrests; and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4 search warrants executed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most newsworthy event was the man with an alleged gun at the Regal Theater in Deer Park on March 11, 2022. There was a large police response and the entire building was evacuated. No gun was found and the individual with apparent mental issues was detained by an off-duty Lloyd Harbor police officer, one of the 92 moviegoers. Suffolk Police then arrested the individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was a car meet up in Deer Park on March 20, 2022 and multiple summonses were issued. The attraction is illegal racing on public streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next meeting at the West Babylon Public Library is May 5, 2022 at 7 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
