Who We Are

The Suffolk County Civilians’ Police Academy Alumni Association is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), organization open to individuals who have graduated from the Suffolk County Civilian Police Academy.  Our purpose is to act as citizen advocates for the Suffolk County Police Department and to continue to bring the Police Department and the community closer together.  We maintain the lines of communication and trust that were established at the Civilians’ Police Academy.

What We Do

Regular membership meetings are held six times a year at the Police Academy located at Suffolk County Community College Grant Campus in Brentwood.  Central to each meeting is an educational presentation similar to those presented at the Civilian Academy.  Periodically, community organizations are asked to speak at meetings.  In addition, field trips to various police facilities are scheduled during the day.
As part of our focus on maintaining the ties that were established at the Civilians’ Academy, we participate in Police Week activities, the Cops Who Care holiday food giveaway, and we support the Suffolk County Youth Academy.
