Dear Alumni Members,

Here are the major November 2021 monthly statistics for the 1st Precinct which held its meeting on December 2, 2021:

350 arrests;

8 residential and 6 commercial burglaries, mostly in stores selling cell phones;

75 controlled substance arrests;

8 stolen cars;

8 robberies.

Several search warrants were executed involving drugs.

There were two loaded handgun arrests made in Wyandanch.

The 1st precinct welcomed 33 new police officers for immediate duty.

Drug overdose statistics were not yet available.

The next meeting at the West Babylon Public Library is February 3, 2022 at 7 PM.

Deputy Inspector D’Agostino presided.

Sgt. Murphy gave a presentation on human trafficking intelligence
operations.

October 2021 6th Precinct Statistics:

570 reported crimes including
     1 homicide
    12 aggravated assaults
    19 burglaries (11 residential, 8 commercial)
     1 robbery
     4 grand larcenies auto
     8 trigger pulls (3 victims shot)

215 arrests with 270 charges including
     6 assaults
     3 burglaries
    35 drug
    16 DWI’s (25 charges)

25 drug overdoses including 4 fatalities

483 motor vehicle accidents including
    100 with injuries
     42 leaving the scene
      5 dwi related

1209 vehicle and traffic enforcement tickets were issued.

Here are the major October 2021 monthly statistics for the 1st Precinct which held its meeting on November 4, 2021:


306 arrests;
22 drug overdoses, one fatal;
6 residential and 7 commercial burglaries;
4 shootings, all in the Babylon area;
64 drug-related and 14 heroin arrests.
Stolen cars and street races continue to be problems.
There were a number of loaded handgun arrests.
A 17-year old was stabbed in the stomach by another 17-year old male in Deer Park.


I gave a presentation for our Academy Recruitment Drive.  Several church groups and one local elected official each took a brochure and an application and indicated the information would be included in their online newsletters.


The next meeting at the West Babylon Public Library is Dec. 2, 2021 at 7 PM.
