August 2024 had 683 crimes, up from 665 last year for the same period.
Therefore, compared to last year, crime increased by 2.6% for the month of August.
These crimes included:

- 12 Aggravated Assaults
- 3 Burglaries (2 Residential, 1 Commercial)
- 3 Robberies
- 14 Grand Larcenies Auto
- 2 Trigger Pulls (1 Victim Shot)
- compared to August 2023, when we had 1 Trigger Pull (1 Victims Shot) out of (5 recorded gun crimes)
There were 239 arrests on 409 charges in August including:
- 10 Assaults
- 1 Burglary
- 90 Drugs
- 1 Robbery
August had 13 drug overdoses with 2 fatalities,
compared with August 2023 with 29 overdoses and 3 fatalities.
August had 616 motor vehicle crashes compared to August 2023 with 573 crashes, up 7.5%.

- 2 DWI related
There were 25 arrests for DWI with 25 charges.
Officers wrote 2104 tickets.
Highway Bureau SITE Unit issued an additional 110 tickets.
