628 crimes were reported in the Precinct for January, 2023.

Last year during the same period there were 579 crimes reported.

January 2023 crimes included:

  • 0 Homicides
  • 11 Aggravated Assaults
  • 8 Burglaries (4 Residential, 4 Commercial)
  • 5 Robberies
  • 17 Grand Larcenies Auto

0 Trigger Pulls

There were 295 arrests on 434 charges in January including:

  • 17 Assaults
  • 17 Burglaries
  • 30 Drugs
  • 2 Robberies
  • 16 DWIs (27 charges)

There were 439 motor vehicle crashes:

  • 2 fatal
  • 77 with injuries
  • 23 leaving the scene
  • 10 DWI related

Dear Alumni Members,

Here are the major January 2023 statistics for the 1st Precinct which held its meeting on February 2, 2023:

9 commercial burglaries;

3 residential burglaries;

17 stolen cars, many with keys inside or engine running;

8 robberies;

2 shootings, 1 fatal;

44 arrests for controlled substances;

64 car crashes with 1 fatality;

4 DWIs;

234 larcenies; and

15 assaults.

Inspector Brendan Forte, the Precinct Commanding Officer, made the presentation.  The Inspector unveiled new graphics which showed the days of the week and the time periods for the various categories of infractions.  The format was well received by the residents and showed considerable effort by the Inspector.  The local officials were thanked for their excellent support.  

Deputy Inspector Michael Alfano, the new Executive Officer, was introduced. 

Officers from the various patrol areas were present to address individual concerns of the residents.

The next meeting will be March 2, 2023 at 7 PM.  The location will be announced later.   All residents are welcome.
