The 3 Precinct community meeting was held
on June 6th. Here’s what’s going on.

31 new officer’s assigned to us as of 4-17-2023.

12 wks of field training ends July 8th.

New class graduates from the Academy 8-18-2023.

Puerto Rico Day Parade was this past weekend.
3000 participants, over 10,000 people attended.

Body cameras are worn by All officers.
Supervisors will get them in the fall.

Now that summer is here pool safety and awareness
is strogly enphasized. Keep gates closed and secure.
If you have a pool alarm make sure it works.

Crime Stats:
Fron 2022 to 2023 so far.

residential burglaries 15 to 17 up 13.3% from 2019.
commercial burglaries 22 compared to 39 decreased 43.6%.
robberies are down 30 compared to 41.
grand larcenies (Motor Vehicle) 104 down from 124.

Please rember to lock your car, take valuables,
and your keys.

Big Push on Car Meets, especially Best Buy
Parking lot. They seized 1 car, 2 arrests and
issued 64 summonses.

Slow Down Suffolk program in effect from
end of Memorial Day weekend till Labor Day. It is
the 100 deadliest days for teenage drivers. It’s a
countywide initiative.

In the Bayshore Downtown and Marina Areas,
a more visible police presence this sunner will be
noticed. The department is working with the Islip
Town Public Safety unit and meeting with the
local Chamber of Commerce and business owners.

There will be a fundraiser softball game on
